Douglas Firs is Gertjan Van Hellemont (°1987), zanger, gitarist en liedjesschrijver met een voorliefde voor de popmelodieën van The Beatles, singer-songwiters als James Taylor en Ryan Adams, de country-blues van North Mississippi Allstars en de Back to the Future-trilogie. Al is dat iets anders.
Maar Douglas Firs is ook Gertjans rock-‘n-rollband met Christophe Claeys (drums, percussie, zang), Sem Van Hellemont (toetsen, zang) en Simon Casier (bas, zang). Douglas Firs rockt op de old school-manier. “Big, majestic…”
